I hope they can get all 9 in, I'd really hate to see them win on a shortened game. But then again we've waited so f'in long for a major championship I don't care.

I know they want to get the game in but this was ridiculous. They could have brought the tarp out in the 4th before it was a complete game but no, they had to go into the 5th and then you can't bring the tarp out with the risk of ending the series with a rain shortened game. So the umps gave the Rays every chance to tie the game and they did. I'm glad they didn't end it as a shortened game, but they never should have gone into the 5th.

Actually, the Rays were favored and the home team. The Phils are the underdogs. They're saying Wed night now for the game to continue if the weather is good enough. They should have never started the game and definitely never let it go so long in such bad conditions. I don't think there is a player happy from either team about this. I also just read that next year, the World Series will run into November!

The only other time that happened was in '01 when 9/11 postponed the season for a few days and the Yankees were in the World Series and that's when Jeter got the nickname "Mr. November"

....which is even MORE reason NOT to play the top of the 6th. There was no reason to. Selig is a moron, he tried to throw everyone under the bus in the post game press conference.
