Has anyone seen my keys?

to my SOM? Yep ... lost 'em, the ONE set I had. So now I gotta pay 400 bucks + to have a lock smith come out, replace the ign cylinder, find the vats resistance, & cut a new key for the doors. When this is all done, I'm making doubles for everything I own.

Here is what baffles me though. I came home from work at 5:00, parked the car, went into my house, watched TV and didn't really go back out. I never set my alarm when its here in the driveway and somehow at 10:30 last night the alarm is going off. (like someone pressed the panic button).

So I'm looking for my keys to shut it off and they are missing .. conveniently. So, I think I must have dropped them in the yard and someone picked them up and is screwing with me.

So I undid the battery terminals, rolled it back to the end of the driveway, pulled my LT1 out, pushed the SOM straight back up the driveway, and parked the LT1 behind it. Its blocked in now and closer to the house.

I have one of two theories:

1) stolen/found and someone hit the panic button and ran off. And now they know what car the keys are for.
2) Gremlins, ghost, poltergeist or some other paranormal activity in my house.

and see if theres a way to reset the bcm so new fobs have to be reprogrammed.

I only have one set for my car too. It's a scary thought. GL on the hunt for them because you know as soon as you pay the locksmith to come out and change everything you're going to find them.

Doors, hatch, t-tops and glove box use the same key. To switch them all over, that will be more money i don't have.

If I get a new fob and re-sync it, I think it will render the old one useless ... I hope. I need to find the wedsite I posted her a long time ago that told me the FID numbers for the year of my car.

not anymore. Called them, supposedly GM doesn't give out VATS resistance by VIN anymore.

Or at least that's what Classic Chevrolet told me. They wanted me to tow it there.

like 10 feet. Neighborhood is not bad at all. Just sometimes random kids walk by.

well that could be the problem, random kids walking by, could have saw him drop the keys, and went in and jacked em' The alarm going off at night suggests you have a joker on your hands.
