Borla Install

I just purchased a complete Borla from Super Sweet (thanks again). I'm looking for a shop that can do the install it for me. I want it done right. Any suggestions?

What makes a borla harder to install than any other aftermarket exhaust? If your just worried about aligning the tips I could help you out since I live in the same town as you. I've done a few exhausts and they're not hard to do at all. If your set on having a shop do it, take it to the meinike in South Toms River(right next to huddy park), I've had them weld a cut-out and y-pipe for me and their work has always been good.

My main concern is connecting it to the straight pipe. Weld? Flange? Hanging it is not the problem.

the I pipe of the borla should have a slightly larger diameter than the y-pipe and then just slip onto it and tighten down with a band clamp from napa.

Not that easy. I have a complete aftermarket exhaust and lining it all up is not straight forward.

Hmm, that's odd, got any pics? I have a complete aftermarket exhaust on my 99 and the y pipe is still located in the stock position.

i had that problem. believe it or not the biggest factors i found with having the exhaust is the hangers not lining up in the right spots. i had mufflex do my full exhaust from the header back (i already had the piping) and they cut the y, adjusted it, put a flange on the intermediate pipe for easy drop down of the exhaust. all in all they did an awesome job, under an hour. well under 200 bucks, including all clamps, bends, adjusting, welding and what have you. the axle over pipe was the most adjusting on my car cause of the size of my rear.


you shouldnt have any problem bolting up the borla though...its pretty straightforward
