doing a head gasket on a 4.3?

anyone ever done one? how easy is it?(notice i didnt say "how hard")

i know a 4.3 is basically like a sbc with 2 cylinders chopped off so i dont think it should be too bad.
Its a '00 Vortec motor, so i assume just remove the typical fuel injection stuff and manifold, emissions stuff and wiring hoses etc off the top, then just pop off the heads, change gaskets and reinstall everything. I think the most involved part would be tightening the rocker arms correctly. but i do have a few questions...

Are the headbolts still a reusable type, or do i need new ones?
Other than head gaskets, exhaust, and intake manifold gaskets, any other gasket(s) id need?
Any specific tips or tricks about the 4.3 vortecs?
How long should the job take doing it myself?
Finally, how much would a shop charge in case i decided to go that route?

And yes ive done head gaskets, cam swaps, motor rebuilds all before, its just been a while and never on a vortec. lol

Oh and I assume if i know which side is bad, itll be smart to change both sides just for the sake of it right?

as far as gaskets go, you can pick up what fel pro calls a "head set"...it comes with head, intake, and exhaust gaskets, along with a few others IIRC
