Good news...

So after a few days, I won this 87 bird on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_866wt_1142

Is it a good deal?
Now, I need to find a way to get there

Yeah it looks like a solid car! Interior isnt that hard to find. The Dash pad looks like its in good shape and those 305's with a carb and good intake really wakes them up if it was a TBI car. The centercaps on the rims shouldnt be that hard to find either! It looks like it has the t-top shades which are pretty rare.

Now the stuff I did notice that if I was looking for a 3rd gen I would watch out for. Its missing the window washer reservior, looks like the heater box is missing so there might not be a working heater in the car. ( I could be wrong but from the pics of the engine it looks like its missing) The headliner is missing, The center consol has a crack in it, T-Top bag is missing and there is no A/C in the car.

ehh if u want a project... last year i scored a 65k mile 89 formula with new paint and upgraded 91-92 bumpers, exhaust, ZERO rust anywhere for 1900 on ebay, invested $450 for new t-top weather stripping and a few other minor things and it was great

Couple things you're going to need to fix before you can drive it it looks like. There's a hole in the firewall from where the A/C was, the drivers door doesnt close, and you're probably going to need to fumigate it. It looks like a dog was in the back and there are cigarette butts in the ash tray. If the t-tops leaked on top of that, it's gonna smell a little

Nice score. The body looks to be solid. And the wing looks to be alright.
Good news is most of the parts you'll need are still dirt cheap in you look and have patience. What are looking to do with it DD, DD w/some strip time?

Mostly DD with mods here and there (mostly suspension). Make it 'nice'er. Not big on making big HP. I have plans on building a 'real' motor in the future. so yeah
