Princeton trip, ideas for dinner/entertainment?

I'll be taking out a lady friend in the next week. She likes old architecture a bit so I figured what better place to bring her locally than to Princeton to walk around a bit.

I know there are plenty of awesome restaurants in Princeton, but unfortunately most of the ones I know are seafood restaurants, which she doesn't like. Shes into all the run of the mill stuff like american, italian, etc. likes pasta, chicken, some steak. Since she is such a picky eater I would prefer to find a great italian joint since she'll have alot to choose from but I'm pretty open to anything good.

Afterward I figured we would just roam around, anything or anywhere in particular a good place to go? Any kind of shows or nightlife that we should check out?

Mediterra is nice and right in Palmer square but it's a little pricey. Hit up halo pub for ice cream right there as well.

Depends what kind of nightlife you're into. I've been to Triumph, Princeton Sports Bar, and a few others in that area, but don't expect to sit down and talk if you go there. More-so the college crowd scene.

The Ferry House and Alchemist and Barrister are both very good restaurants as well.

Funny you mention that. My girlfriend has said that The Ferry House is a good restaurant and we've actually been meaning to go there recently but I still have not.

Coincidentally, a member here is doing a fundraiser, and posted a link to a gift certificate that is applicable to The Ferry House. Basically, Spend $20, get $100 back at certain restaurants.

Make a late run to Princeton last night - ended up at Triumph Brewery (pretty much normal).
