Ski/Snowboard Trip Anyone?
Im posting this up to see if we can get something set up. I dont know how many of you listen to 93.3 WMMR, but twice a year they have a "Day off on the Slopes" at Jack Frost Mt. The first event was yesterday, which was a great day. The second event is on March 1st. Lift tickets are $9.33 and rentals are $25. They do offer lessons as well, but I am unsure of the price. Time is 9am-4pm. Also during this second event, they are having "The Cardboard Classic". If anyone has ever been to this, then they can attest to how much fun of a day this is, watching crazy people try to make it down the tubing hill in some crazy contraptions. If you havent heard of this before, google it.
Would like to see how many people would be interested in doing this. It is an awesome time. I guess depending on how many people are interested, we could set up a meeting place and car pool up, or maybe do something regionally to go up together. Like the south and lower central could meet up at cherry hill mall and go up 76 and 476 to the mountain. The north and upper central people could meet up wherever is good up there(cuz I dont know the north) and take Rt. 80 or something to the mt.
The only catch to this is, to get the price listed above, you have to be a WMMR VIP on there website. Its is easy to set up and they do not bombard you with emails. I think it will be easier if everyone buys there own ticket(and possibly rental and lesson if you need to). They dont offer a group discount, as the $9.33 lift ticket is already extremely discounted.
We have 2 months, so if you are interested post up in here and request off work, I already have and am def going. I would prefer not to be the organizer of this event, as I am a pretty unorganized person and would prob lose or forget something stupid. But I can be if needed. If anyone has any other questions that were not answered or has any ideas to make this easier, please send me a PM.
