December Gathering
welp, it looks like december is going to be a wash. with the holidays and school breaks and who's going to be home and who will be able to make it, it just doesn't seem worth it to have big plans for 10 people or so that would be able to make it. we'd have to make it for the beginning of the month, and that would make it really close to the north meet. it'd probably work out to being back to back weekends, and that probably wouldn't work out for those on a budget. they'd have to choose which meet to attend, and that would affect attendance at both meets.
p.s. al and i are working on the next central jersey meet, which happens to fall in december.

If we can get enough support, having a meet right around the holidays would be great.
If not, It wouldn't bother me to have it sometime in January.

i say we go for it in december and shoot for an early date.
if we can't get a place we can push it back then. i doubt there will be any problem if we start contacting potential venues now though.

i already tried this, and got frustrated really quickly. nothing near the third week is available. unless it's some hole in the wall, and how much fun is that? oh, wait, we can party next to frank the local drunk and his crew. not.
this is the whole reason i posted, as finding a venue in the month of december really should be done a year ahead of time.
