That is from taking it apart & spilling coolant. If it ran fine before, do what JR told you. Wipe the cyls down & oil them to keep them from rusting. And pull the oil drain plug to let anything drain. Less pics, more turning wrenches.

You can use motor oil, WD-40 (the WD is for Water Displacement, with the 40 meaning they f'd up the formula the first 39 times) or fogging oil.

Tone & inflection are lost on a forum. Use one of these things --> <-- to indicate humor/sarcasm/etc.

Matt, best thing to do is to run to the parts store and buy a quart or two of their cheap-o store brand oil. Pour some directly onto a rag, and wipe down all exposed portions of the cylinder walls. Do this once a week until you get heads back on it.

Motor oil, as opposed to gear oil, or canola oil.

Since you aren't doing anything fancy, just go for a regular fel-pro head gasket kit.
A new harmonic balancer is up to you....how does your old one look?

Scrape off ALL of that old gasket before you install the new one. Make it smooth, use a razor blade, leave no rough spots. Spend a lot of time doing that, don't hurry through it
