Audio / Video -- Geeks inside

			Hello fellow geeks,
I am trying to rip a DVD (home movie of course) onto my computer and put it on an IPod Video. I rip it off the DVD into .vob files. The files work fine, the audio and video are perfect. The problem comes where I try to encode them to ipod format. The audio and video slowly but surely get out of sync, where later in the video it gets off by a few seconds. I've been reading something about that most videos are encoded at 29.97 fps and the audio is almost that, but like .04 off, so it starts adding up. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know how I can convert it correctly? I am using videora to convert it to ipod format.

ill preface this by saying i have never used an ipod video, but i do have a bunch of knowledge about apple in general, and the preferred format for most apple videos is quick time (.mov) format.. again, i dont know what ipod videos play, but if thats an option, i would suggest trying to convert it to a quick time file.

well I can get the VOB files perfectly. Thats not the problem. It's once I try to convert to MP4 format (which is the format it uses) is where I get the problem =/

It's been a while since I backed up my DVD collection to media other than DVD-Rs, but when I was backing them up to DivX I could set keyframes every so often to keep the video and sound synced. Might want to see if there is anything like that for MP4 encoding....
