what you looking for sound? when i was working as a mechanic we had a customer who had the 8.1L and 6spd in a 3500 RC/LB SRW truck with a magnaflow and it had a really nice tone, not raspy hardly any drone and the rumble was bitching

Something that's not going to scream but give it a nice tone and open the truck up some. I know that big old boat of a stock muffler is killing the flow. Truck is mainly used for towing and has the ocasional long trip so nothing with a loud drone to it.

go with either magnaflow or dynomax. i had a dynomax on my 88 t/a and it had that real nice rumble to it and didnt kill your ear drums
