On LBI a few weeks ago I was walking on the beach and a guy surf-fishing near Holgate caught a 4 foot shark, it broke his fishing rod in half.

people who dont live by the shore is poorly taught about what is off our coasts. we have great whites, and Bull Sharks, with the later of the two being more vicious. Go to brigantine, and go fish on the sand bar where you go over the bridge, you'll find all the shark you want.

ha ill be on a week long vacation during shark week in long island wayyy at the end, usually goto the beach throw some carcasses out there near dusk, wait a half hour come back and suprise theres like 4 sand sharks havin a feast
yea, they dont have teeth but they give a good fight

I'm mad they pushed Shark Week back for a week. It was originally supposed to start this weekend, which is when I'll be leaving for OBX

I heard they made people get out of the ocean in Ship Bottom and Surf City 2 Sunday's ago when I was down at Beach Haven because of sharks cited. But thay may have just been the Discovery Channel that started that rumor!
