the worst stretch of road in ocean county?
you're not going to believe it. Â*it's route 37 between the parkway and sleazeside, with 331 traffic accidents in 2004. Â*that's up from 313 in 2003. Â*there were only three fatalities in those 331, so at least that is something to be thankful for. 331 accidents - that is almost one per day.
the cops are looking for the same grant money they received this year to bolster the force during weekends and peak times, like summer, next year. Â*they are also going to be looking into the jughandles and the bennies propensity to make left hand turns on 37 regardless of the number of signs that say "NO TURNS".
