Court Today
well, i had to go to court today because the ******* who hit me back in august decided to plea not guilty to all 5 tickets he got. ****in russian **** wad didn't even show up to court.
victim, witness, his lawyer, the responding officer all showed up, but the guy we are there to discuss didn't.
judge heard the case anyway. i got up on the stand and did the whole swear on the bible thing, then the witness told the same story, then the cop told the judge about the accident scene.
judge found him guilty on all counts and added in a failure to appear for good measure.
his lawyer was pissed to say the least, but there wasn't much she coudl do about it.
so the guy now has citations for failure to present proof of insurance, failure to present a valid drivers license, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, unsafe passing, failure to keep right, and failure to appear. so he is pretty much ****ed.
he has 30days to pay or appeal, i told the cop if he appeals i will be happy to show up again and make sure he gets ****ed for what he did. [/rant]

Jeez... Let's hope you don't have to deal with that all over again... Court is bad once... let alone twice for the same thing all over again. Atleast that guys is ****ed for a while... he won't be seeing that roadway for a while..

she prolly got paid up front. she was young and looked a bit nervous, i think she is new to the court room thing.
judge was cool to her, basically let her know that she did the right thing by not arguing the case and siting "rule 1" whatever that is.
she was cool, even talked to the cop, the witness, and me afterwards.
BTW, i think i earned a free pass from the cop when we were leaving, he saw me walking towards my camaro and came over to check it out. said he used to have a 78 formula with a little work done to it. he briefly admired the expired for 3 years now inspection sticker that is torn in half, then changed the subject. lol

Yea, that was Ian's car. You didn't happen to install the oil pump in that 350 did you?

The $110 a year for insurance ($10k agreed value) is nice too.
