Good luck with it man, cause I know that there are plenty of kids that go there that arent worth a ****. I used to hire people out of LT, and trying to find someone that knows wtf they are doing out of that group is tough.

Yea here is a little tidbit for you. LT isn't state certified to be a school. So basically it is a business. In the beginning it was certified by the state of NJ to be a tech school but over the years as things changed and the board of education put tougher and tougher regulations for schools, Lt didnt come to meet these regualtions and i beleive it was sold to a private. Then after that the tuition become higher and higher because it is a business. If you want a real education, talk to one of the major car companies and ask to go to thier school where they actually teach you things. Most of the instructors that teach there really arent mechanics at all but teachers who were taught by the school to teach that particular cirriculum. Most of them dont even have on the job experience in the field to answer your questions. To me it is really a waste of money. I went to Wyo tech in 2000 and i tell you it was the worst teachings ever. Basically if you have common sense, you knew everything that they are going to teach you. From personal experience, all it is, is basically them telling what each part is and the name of it. nothing more. They dont teach you how diagnose, or to fix anything either. hence is why i am problems with my car Like i said before it was just a course to name and tell what things do. Everything else is guess work. you get a better education working in a garage for one year then actually going to any tech school. If i knew what i know now I would have saved 19k for Wyo Tech and just got working in a garage. Plus to work anywhere now you need to ASE cerified and these school teach you nothing about the test. I personally failed my ASE ceritfied test right after i completed Wyo Tech. i was thinking that I got a good education and i would say I only got about 10 percent of the question right on the test.

Since this thread is up, if anyone is over the age of 18, has a valid driver license, and wants to work in the automotive service field, please PM me with any questions regarding a job. This is for both sales and service.
