painting a hood

i just picked up a fiberglass hood, the top of it is already prepped, i started to sand down the underside, but think i would rather have a shop do it all.
maaco quoted me at $315 to spray it, and blend it with the fenders. does this sound like a decent price? i figured maaco would be ok because the only prep work needed is on the underside of the hood.

are there any paint shops that would do better work/not really be any more expensive? i tried calling that DJ's place, no answer, and then i saw someone say that their prices are high...

Yes, DJs is expensive, but I will guarantee that it will be better than a Maaco job...

You can shoot a PM to HardcoreZ28 too, he might be able to take care of you.

Say no to Maaco unless you KNOW what paint they spray. They usually use the cheapest **** they can find.

$315 is HELLA cheap to spray a hood and blend the fenders. Is that for the underside of the hood too?

I can confirm and deny this at the same time. My freinds car wich was painted with the same stage as my car, a little bit before my car is peeling off on the lower fender, how ever my car's paint looks gorgeous except for the crappy prep and scratches.

Go get more quotes!

Maybe in the future when I get painting equipment Ill do it for free if you buy the paint.
