June Island Meet Time Slip / Convo Thread
I'd first and foremost like to say I had an awesome time and thanks to everyone who set it up cause it was really a good time. And that bbq chicken was absolutely amazing, whatever sause that was on it was amazing lol.
Anyway so here is the best run of the day for me.
R/T ... 1.009
60' ... 2.441
330 ... 6.330
1/8 ... 9.478
MPH92.64
1000 ... 12.162
1/4 ... 14.439
MPH ... 99.26
Not bad I geuss for my first time at the track and I've only been driving for two monthes.
Mods are cat-back, intake, air foil, thermostat and shifter.
Like I said it was my first time so I did have some really embarassing runs but I geuss I got that out of my system now hopefully.
I did trap 100.49 MPH on a 14.5 run so I think my car is capable of a low 14 to high 13 once I get better.
Anyways awesome day today and thanks again to everyone.
Now lets see those times.

yeah...thanks to whoever organized that..i got in a nice 7 or 8 runs..which was awesome..
I ended up with a
r/t .860
60 2.361
330 6.160
1/8 9.222
mph 81.11
1000 11.812
1/4 13.999
mph 104.59
that was my best run..i need to learn how to launch..lol. that was also my second to last run..my last run would proably have been a 13.7 or so if i didn't **** up the launch because my 60ft was a 2.6 but i ran a 14.1 at 103.9.
side note...i love m6 ls1s because for that last tank of gas..including all of my runs and 200 miles...was only 9.5 gallons..so still a lil over 20mpg...racing with normal driving..lol.

I'm glad everyone had a good time. Thanks for coming out guys! I won't be able to check on this thread in the next few days cause i'm heading to atco in the morning, but i'll be back and hope to see some great times!!
btw, that bbq sauce is super secret homemade bbq sauce courtesy of some boys from paterson. When we have our Carolina Nationals they come up with big ass grills and make chicken, ribs, fish, any kind of 'southern' (read: soul) food. Its gooooood ****. We always make sure to take a gallon or so of their bbq sauce.

1) Best meet ever??
2) no personal best but it was all a string of 15.0's and 15.00's, all at 91 mph (i think a run or two trapped 90) with one big fuggup 16.4?? run, and my two last runs were 14.9s... one of them being a 14.015 where my PB is a 14.007... I WOULD have taken some **** out to try and recover those thousandths but somebody had to start a water baloon fight which led to a certain person aiming for me but hitting my intake manifold and drenching my coils, killing my ignition till it all dried out....... if you saw my extremely pissed at one point that was why but oh well, s'all good... I have some things to do before next time at the track which should definately help

i didnt have a fbody to run or the g body either for that matter, but i did run what i did have, my STOCK(beat up, lol) 96 dodge Ram 2500. 5.9L Cummins Turbo diesel, auto, 4.10s, non-posi, bald tires basically too.
first run was 18.1 then i varied from 18.2-19.0. Then im my last run, I managed to put down a 17.96 @ 74mph. My main problem was launching, i either came off the line with too much boost and spun both tires or not enough and took too long to spool up. With my street tires i couldnt spool over 2100rpms on the line and even then id loose traction once i took off. And then it would shift into the next gear at like 68mph and fall on its face then. Oh well, it was fun regardless, and now i have baseline numbers to compare to after future upgrades(fuel pump plate, turbo-back exhaust, intake, injectors, and posi dually rear)

Just did the calculation and with 280 miles of driving (down to point pleasant, up to elmwood park, home, out to island, and 10+ passes) (crusing from 75 to 85 on three out of the four trips... above 3k RPMs) I still got 23 MPG... 4.10s FTW!!!

i could not hook up for ****, on a race day or rental i never have a problem at island. between the 10 days of rain and street tire people going through the water and doing no burnout it was a bitch.
1.54 60ft terrible for a car that goes 1.40
99.98 1/8
10.83 1/4 @ 125.42
best reaction .016

Shut it, Ian. Next time I'll be more prepared.
Yucky times, but an excellent meet, probably the best. It was a really great opportunity to get some baseline runs in without feeling like a total tool in front of lots of people. I definitely have to work on that 60 ft. Haha.

I got a vid of my run, my friend took it because he was going to race but was only 17 and didn't get that paper signed...
Numbers:
R/T: .532
60': 2.1
1/4: 14.639
MPH: 96.64
This was .01 greater then my best time, but i did add a little weight to the back, JL stealth box and amp, next time i will have to lose some of that stuff.
Video of one of my runs:
