Weird NJ FTL (long story)

so me and some friends decided to go visit the abandoned insane asylum last night. my friend was driving, so i pounded a few beers before i left (this will be important later). so we get there and we are driving around this huge complex and we pass a small police station and go into a parking lot.

my friend takes his bowl and his weed out for whatever reason and puts it on his tire, so we look around for a minute and get back in the car. we get back on the one road and my friend realized he forgot his weed and bowl, but we decide not go to back for it (this will also be important later).

so we drive around this weird ass complex and we wind up in some weird mini development, and as we go to turn around we see a cop coming toward us. he gets next to us puts his lights on and tells us all to get out of the car....****ing great. so we all get out as about 4 more cop cars show up. they get out of their cars screaming their asses off at us to keep our hands where they can see them and drop our things.

so now we all have our hands on the hood and we all give the cops our ID. he asks if anyone is under 18 so my friend stacy goes with the cop on the side to get asked questions.(owned) anyway the one cop says "we look a little to comfortable" even though we are sitting with our hands on the hood looking like we are ready to get primed. he tells us to form a line so we do so.

meanwhile this little neighborhood is acculy where someof the mental patients stay, so now we got tons of mental people on their front lawns staring at us. then we hear screaming comming from the one house. so two cops go to check it out, and they had to end up breaking in the door and busting our their guns. as they ran into the house. this is just ****ing peachy

so while all this is going on the cops as my friend if there is anything illegal in the car so he tells them they can search the car, and they do. so as they are, me and my other 3 friends talk to the only cool cop there. after a little while i feel a flashlight on my face, so i turn to look at a cop staring at me. in the scariest tone of seriousness and pissed off voice, he tells me to "get over here now." i was talking fine (or so i thought) but somehow i ended up with my hands on the car yet again, and being searched up and down. luckily i didnt forget anythig in my pockets so get tells me to go back with my friends which i promptly do to avoid anymore conversation.

so to finish up they didnt find **** (thanks to my friends stupidity) and they bascally told us that if we ever come back we get arrested on the spot, becasue our names are in their computers or something.

I think.....according to what I read on Weird NJ quite some times ago...that this property has been "off limits" for years.

besides going to "off limits" property.....you pounded some beers (under age) right before going......your friend brought weed in the car.

I may be wrong on this.....but none of that sound like a good idea.

Weird NJ tells you in all their magazine's that the places they tell you about may or may not be illegal to go to and it is YOUR responsability to research that before going. Most abandoned asylums (if not all) are on private state owned property, therefore illegal to go on. If you found your way to a little "village" that is currently being used to house mental patients then maybe the asylum was not as abandoned as you think and then you would have been trespassing on an actual asylum which is bad news. Suck it up, you went, got caught and didn't get arrested. Sounds like the story of my life. What's real fun is after getting caught a few times you come up with VERY creative ways to evade the guards.

That's cool you went though, did you actually go in the buildings? What you should try to do is park your car a ways away from the asylum and trek in on foot, it's easier to escape this way and it will allow you to escape into the buildings, most guards won't follow you into the abandoned buildings.

oh no, you are talking about the marlboro mental asylum, that place is ****ing scary, and it does exist hah and is very abandoned, there are places that look like blood puddles on the ground, and you constantly hear things knocking aroud, a few of my friends and i went there 2 summers ago, the cops almost caught us, but we hid in the weeds/woods. oh, and never park there, walk, its more discreet

Get a few of your friends together and pretend to be from a paranormal society. Do some research, find out who the buildings belong to, call the agency up and ask for permission to conduct a study on the building. Ask them if you could get a guide to show you around and a lot of other stuff. Get yourself a rudimentary paranormal study kit and do a study while you are there. It may very well get you into the place, LEGALLY, and you could have a lot of fun conducting the research, plus who knows what it might uncover.

Can you tell I've used that cover story before??? I picked up some interesting rumblings on EVP at Lambertville school, nothing conclusive but hey, it was fun, plus i can say I did something

Me and about 7 friends went to the wierd nj sites in north jersey last fall(gates of hell, devil's tree, devil's tower, and that one road that starts with a C i think) It was freaky and alot of fun. We also looked for the midget village, but they changed the name of the street and we later found out that they bulldozed it anyway. We are going to go again sometime before the end of the year to some of the places in south/central jersey.....well if they exist. It seems like they are all in north jersey. I have some pics taken with a disposable camera in my jersey_ta webshots also.
