1st run at the track with new engine!!!!
AND I BLEW THE F'IN CLUTCH!!!!! lol
I went on street tires cause i still have the stock 10bolt with stock gears and didnt feel like having to tow teh car home i cut a 2.59 60 ft lol never stopped spinnin thru 1st or 2nd and then the clutch went out so i never got into 3rd.... so i had to let out of it at the 1/8th mile and ran a whopping 15.0 rolling thru the last 1/2 of the track.... tuesday tranny comes out and automatic goes in with a 3800 stall .... so hopefully will have better results next time out

actually...............
there was a trend in the late 70's and early 80's to put clutches on automatic transmissions. many a cutting edge street warrior had a clutch-glide or clutch-400 in their car. a few dodge boys even did clutch-727's.
a friend of mine ran a clutch-glide set up in his box nova a few years back. if anyone remembers D144John from the boards(TGO and CZ28 ). he had a turbo'ed small block in a wildly painted 64 nova.

one kid I know had an automatic and put a custom manual shift boot + knob but shifted like an auto (straight forward and back). He also had a fake clutch.
