				finding a v6 cam = not easy

god dam ive benn looking at cams all day long, and i cant find anything with high lift and lil overlap for the 3.4,all the cams that are good for turboing have a rev range of like 800-4,800 tops and that cam only has .420 lift int/ex.
ive tried isky/comp cams/cranecams
u guys know of anyone else that makes cams for the 60* motors

this is the cam i had in the original na motor
but no way in hell would this be a good turbo cam

Another reason for LS1. Or at least go with a 305. At least there is aftermarket parts for it.

how about jsut go the easy route, call up compcams techline. give them the specs on your motor and they will help you pick the specs you need in a cam to match it. takes about an hour and the custom grinds only cost like $30 more than the off the shelf grinds. they even assign it a part number so that you can reorder it or have it cut for your friends in the future.

60* cams are just as, if not more plentiful than 90* cams. Just finding the right one can be tricky, because most of the performance cams out there for them are based on a "balls to the wall" N/A setup.

Dave, another vote for custom grind. The guys at comp should take care of you.

yep most of them are mechanical hi compression n/a cams, the 2 they have that would work ok with a turbo have no rev range, and not much more lift then the stock 3.4 cam.

yeah im still waiting to hear back from them to see what they recomend if i dont hear anything by tom afternoon im just gonna give them a call.
the cam i had for my old na setup would be perfect if it wasnt for the amount of ex duration it has

crane recomended this cam,but for some reason i still think it has to much duration on the ex side
290 int./300 exh.
228 int./238 exh@.050
0.460 int./0.480 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112
rpm range of 2,000-5,000

off the shelf race cam for 60* motor
prolly gonna idle like ****
still havent heard back from comp cams
