questions about Halo headlights for LS1 Camaro?
1) Would inspection give me any problems if i put these on my car? I live in NJ andthey can be pretty bad with nitpicking.
2) Do they fit well in the sockets? i mean do they look like they fit good?
3) How hard is it for a person to install them? I mean i was thinking of getting my mechanic to install them if i get them. Would an experienced mechanic be able to do this with ease? or would i need a exterior specialist of sorts?
4) Also, do halo lights shine brighter than stock headlights?
5) IF you buy halo lights as is, do they give off a regular white light at night or do they give off that bluish tinted light thats very vibrant and blinding to the oncoming car?
6) Lastly, should i get the halos over what i have now? Now, i have pro beam black headlight inserts and i like the way they look, but i look at these halos and they look awesome as well. Plus they are the actual light, and not a cover lense like the pro beams are.
these questions are pretty much in order of importance to the decision. Thanks

AFAIK, the halo lights are just for visual appeal during the day and early evening while your headlights are off. They don't affect your regular headlight bulbs at all. I could be mistaken though, there are a few members here that have them, so I'm sure they will chime in.

depends on the inspector. modding the headlights can be a reason for them to fail you, but of course it may not. you could always put your stockers back on for inspection.
2) Do they fit well in the sockets? i mean do they look like they fit good?
they fit pretty well, much better then the crap depos i have on my car.
3) How hard is it for a person to install them? I mean i was thinking of getting my mechanic to install them if i get them. Would an experienced mechanic be able to do this with ease? or would i need a exterior specialist of sorts?
from what i hear its not much more then a couple wires. do it yourself
4) Also, do halo lights shine brighter than stock headlights?
no

Nope. As long as it has a DOT stamp on them, which they do. The guy looked at my lights for a brief moment but it passed
2) Do they fit well in the sockets? i mean do they look like they fit good?
Perfect fit.
3) How hard is it for a person to install them? I mean i was thinking of getting my mechanic to install them if i get them. Would an experienced mechanic be able to do this with ease? or would i need a exterior specialist of sorts?
Took me 20 minutes per lamp. Hardest part was realligning the lights. save the money for labor and install yourself. in the 20 minutes per lamp, that includes removing the old ones. it is an easy straightforward install
4) Also, do halo lights shine brighter than stock headlights?
i noticed a difference in mine, took some light away. I plan on inserting another low-beam in place of the high beams. I dont use the highs at all soo...
5) IF you buy halo lights as is, do they give off a regular white light at night or do they give off that bluish tinted light thats very vibrant and blinding to the oncoming car?
Not vibrant. Just a blue light.
6) Lastly, should i get the halos over what i have now? Now, i have pro beam black headlight inserts and i like the way they look, but i look at these halos and they look awesome as well. Plus they are the actual light, and not a cover lense like the pro beams are.
depending on what u like, i say go for it. u wont be disappointed.

LEDGauges.com makes the halo whatever color you want man. Kinda pricey but just so you know your options.
