Not sure if my engine really is stock
after seeing many pictures of different sport car engines, i noticed that mine had a lot more to it... i saw a picture of a V6 Camaro (4th gen like mine) and even though it wasn't a Z28, i thought that there should be some of the same stuff, but it wasn't anywhere near what i have in mine... i'll take some pictures tomorrow and maybe someone can tell me =D

DUDE!!!! you have a V8 in yours...its alot bigger than a V6 and it is in there very tight...You can't compair a V6 to a V8 at all...totaly different engines...not even a little similar

Mk, what sports cars were you looking at? and what V6 camaros were you looking at. remember 93-95 ( except a few cali models) had a 3.4 and then 96-02 hada 3.8, but either way V6's are smaller then a LT1. there should be nothing different about your engine, there could be a few add on's, but they dont get bigger, nor different, unless you had a LT4 intake on it, or had an LS1 in it, but in order to fit an LS1 in, you gotta use a 98-02 front clip to accomidate the larger size of the engine. post the pics and we will disect what you are talkign about cause in a tad bit confused still

Well I had compared it to a picture of a V6 which I know they're different sizes... It just seemed weird that there were a lot of things I had never seen in an engine before... I just googled it and they seem the same, it was just weird with a lot of the things in there... It's hard to explain... I've grown up around a lot of rice =P

The LS1 is a smaller engine than an LT1 or Gen 1 small block.

the ls1 front clip is needed to clear the forward facing air intake. you can run a 90degree elbow on the intake and fit inside a lt1 front clip.

Really now? I heard it was the other way around but your answer makes more sense, hm, I forget who I heard that from but i heard it was bigger, but then again, I deal with V6's, not big boy toys lol

So what your saying is, an LS1 can fit in a 93-97 Fbody, as long as you dont use the airbox? hm, is it shorter or just height wise? DAMNIT now you got me thinking, curse you guys and your LS1 knowledge lol

You can use an LS1 style lid on an F-body, it does not require the LS1 front clip. People have made conversions using the existing hardware off an LS1 car. The biggest difference is between the two is the radiator support.

you don't need a 98-02 fron't clip...Tiago put an LS1 in his 94 firebird and its still got the stock body. You just have to use a different air intake tube. + its better that way cause the best anyone would expect is an LT1.
