Who listens to O&A or Howard in here?
Use to be a diehard howard fan for years , and now since he left and DLR bombed and i refuse to get sattelite radio unless it comes in a new car I listen to O&A. Both great just in different ways.

i said i would never pay for radio.. then i got tired of commercials on radio. now i can't stand driving anything without sirius in it. in the grand scheme of things, 13 bucks a month is no big deal

I listen to O&A off and on. I used to be a die hard listener in the 102.7 days from 2001 till they got booted from WNEW. Truly golden material.
I never really listed to Howard because he came off as full of himself to me. Now that O&A are the same way, I only listen to them off and on.

O&A kick the crap out of hoo-hoo-howie. he hasnt been funny or original in 20yrs. when jackie left, it was the last blow to his already sinking ship. the only reason hes still around are because of the sheep that have followed him for years and dont know any better. hoo-hoo does NOTHING for his fans. when was the last time he did a roadshow, concert, comedy show? early 90s at the least. he cant do a single joke himself. why do you think his show has always had at least 4-5 other people on it full time. he cant write a joke or bit to save his life. O&A are naturally funny and original. they dont need a team of writings to come up with a show every day.

Anyone that calls howard hoo hoo is definately a O&A fan O&A are full of themselves, there at where howard was ten years ago just less listeners...Listened to Howard a few mths back, one of the guys on my business trip had serius he still had me rofl, If there was ever a merger I would definately get it, Hoo hoo @ 6 and O&A after, now that would be radio gold. FFFrrrrrrrrrrrraunkus!

I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the couple went for the 'two point conversion' at Saint Patrick's Cathedral during "Sex For Sam," which ultimately got O&A tossed off the radio back in the day. Until then, I listened to both: Howard in the morning and O&A in the evening. When the boys got booted, I listened to Howard until he went off the air. Then it was CDs and radio until the boys came back. I, too, refused to get satellite. I was still trying to make my decision when I heard that Serius may aquire XM in the future, so I'm gonna wait and see before I buy now. In the meantime, I can still get the boys for free for three hours, which covers my commute and the first two hours driving my desk.
I do agree that O&A were a lot funnier their first go around, but they definitely have their moments now, especially with Norton sitting in (When he's not off doing comedy shows). I even got WOWed once, which was cool!
On another note, I kind of miss The Radio Chick. She and her staff were good for laughs on the ride home.

why do people 'refuse' to get sattelite? regular radio facking SUCKS BALLS. the same damn songs over and over, day after day. when i delivered parts a few years ago, i was in a truck, all day, every day. listened to the raido all day, every day. i could tell you KRocks complete lineup every day, only being off by 4 songs. same goes for today, since Krock came back. same boring *** songs, broken up by 10min commercials. i got XM just for O&A back when they switch, and havent looked back. the only time i ever use regular radio is when im in someone elses car that doesnt have XM.
also, sirius isnt accquiring XM. its supposed to be a more or less equal merger. if it ever happens.

Partially because I couldn't make up my mind, and partially because I couldn't fathom paying for radio. Makes more sense a few years later, but my most recent hesitation was the merger thing. I'm torn because I'm told Serius carries NASCAR, while XM has O&A. Hard to decide. I was waiting to see if this merger goes through or not, and if so, does that mean I could get one unit that works with both Serius and XM.

Was a 92.3 guy here but now I work at mcguire and I get 94.1...as soon as O&A go off at 9 I use to put Adam Corrola on the west coast til one (now its blocked on my gov. cpu ) . Corrola's actually pretty good. Then I switch 94.1 back on for Kidd Chris @ 3. For you guys that dont know him he use to write for Howard and actually made Howards ZULU song lol...Hes great. If he ever goes on serius w/ Howard I might have to get it. BTW I have 2 wow stickers on the car and have yet to get wow'd

Yea now if we can get back to just the show and not 1/4 show 3/4 music will be alright..Makes the hour commute home so much better. I never liked Barksy here but i kinda miss Matt and Huggy. I ve been listening to there podcasts though over the net. They put a new one up every few days...Same show but now they drink and curse through it

You mean Mr Sulu?
I was a big Stern listener, back to the WNBC days when I was a kid - I remember the hurricane day he got fired. But over the years I think the effort stopped. Maybe when Billy West left. The news was usually good though. Plus it was being geared for E! TV instead of radio.
I was never much for stippers and farters and all that crap. I tried to listen to O&A, but I thought they were just trying to be Stern - the part of the stern show I didn't like. And that Norton guy is very annoying.
Now I have a 10 minute commute, and the kids are in the car for 1/2 of that, so I gave up. ESPN radio in the AM and WFAN on the way home. Or cds. I won'-t buy satellite for 15 mintues or so a day.

Nortons a very funny creepy bastard, and Anthony is funny too. Opie kinda moves the show along, not much of comedian. You cant beat Anthony's immatations, and hes very witty...same goes for norton as well . I listened to Howard since the early 90's until he left terrestrial and its much different from O & A. O&A is a little darker where Stern has more of a sexual theme to it..Now kidd chris's show is almost a carbon copy of the stern show, which is understandable seeing he use to write for howard. yea I have the type of job where one day ill be at my desk and another ill be in the warehouse...so unless I have a carry along receiver it would be a waste for me as well, might be only 13 bucks but its just another bill. Sometimes If I wanna hear O&A when i get home I just start another Free Trial...if you never left your house you could listen for free everyday, all you need to do is start up a new email...Serius is a little smarter they dont have Howard's channel on there free trial.

My mom has XM in her Suburban...quality is awesome, but there's only 4 stations I really listen to it. I don't listen to talk radio THAT much, so I listen to squizz, boneyard, xmlm, and highway 16. It's not worth it to me to pay 15 bucks for 4 radio stations in my opinion.

I never have and never will listen to Howard. His jokes suck and if it wasn't for the people around him he'd be nothing. From the few times I heard his material it was the same thing over and over. He has a small ****, his wife's are bitches and they took all his money and he'd cheat on them with any of his guests, and hey honey nice body why don't you get naked and I'll critique you in my skinny *** bird man body because you are hot and I'll do anything to cut you down.
O & A are great they let people come on and be asses, girls do crazy **** and don't get abused. If people want to go on and act like asses or weird they let them do it too. I don't have XM but the jeep has a 1 year subscription to sirius. I'm not super crazy about it but the no commercials is pretty cool, but the person who said the radio plays the same stuff over and over again, UMMM so does sirius. I was listening to the techno station and it's the same things all day long.

I can't control what i listen to with other people. Also I've seen some of his videos online and ****. I meant in lenght or as an avid listener like the people who get up at 5 or whenever he starts and go til 8 or 9. I thought his stuff sucked. I was forced at times to listen when I was in construction. Those blockheads loved his crap.
I like O&A much better they at least made me laugh I never found Stern even humorous.
