Whats up with this show, I don't think it will last.

its been on for a little while, pretty good too. Im sick of Pinks cause its the same crap all the time, everyone sandbags, and then at the end they come out of nowhere with this power, and the host is so full of himself, he knows nothing of dragracing, and he's horrible at negotiating.

i think i saw one episode. its part of speeds 'launch hour'. they had many new half hour shows, like 10-12, and played a few episodes of them in an hour. i think you could vote on which ones you liked, and theyd become a regular series. IIRC, the point of this show was to make a pass then hot-lap 2 cars, and whoever blew up/broke down first lost. they had another one i saw, 'name that test & tune'. they had one lane of a strip, 3 contestents, and a series of cars making passes. they had to guess their ET, and whoever came closest won.

it is an interesting show. shops submit built cars and then clay milikan(sp?) sits there and tells them what to do to see if the car can take the abuse. things like 20-30 second long burnouts folowed by back to back to back passes followed by another burnout followed by more passes.
basically they decide on a number of passes to complete ahead of time and over the course of the show the car gets beat on, most times never turned off unless agreed on before hand to add fuel or whatever.
it is a fun show and clay really seems to get into it. they just have to shoot the announcer guy they use. he sounds like a bad game show reject, just let clay do his thing.
