Last night I heard a LS1 with possibly a GMMG

I was on break at work, outside, and at the intersection I hear aloud car, but I couldnt see it. I am waiting and waiting for the car to pass so I could see it. Once i finally saw it I reconigzed the car from a local cruise night. It's a 98-02 Firebird navy blue metallic ( i think its a 2001 ) has an SLP sticker on the windshield, with american racing TT2's. If this car has a GMMG its one of the hands down most amazing exhaust sounds there is. As it was driving up the road it has that loud deep sound that just wants to eat you sound. Not like a SLP LM raspy. Just deep and perfect. My whole idea of telling you this, is if you ever even think about buying a GMMG exhaust dont stop to think just buy it.

Well this thread was a waste, it can be deleted. I talked to the kid tonight, he has longtubes into a SLP LM. O well still sounded good to me, still think gmmg is the best.

Please delete this

I had the GMMG on my 00 SS last year and it sounded ok, but nothing really exciting with stock manifolds/cats. I sold it and bought the cheap Jardine on the car now and I like the car's sound. The Jardine sounds even better with longtubes and dual 3" cats now, but the muffler/tailpipes are welded and hit the trailer hitch so I need to put on another cat-back soon.

I have stock internals with long tubes and high flow cats with American Thunder Exhaust. Anyone who hears it loves the sound and always compliment the sound note.

not sure why people think the LM sounds raspy, either you guys don't know what raspy is, or I have a unique LM. I have no engine work what so ever, just the LM exhaust and I love the frigging thing. I haven't heard anything I like better yet.

I guess everyone has their own opinion but i think it's the best thing out there.

Do you have longtubes with no cats? That combo will make any exhaust sound raspy. Do you have the LM1 or LM2? The LM2 resonator/muffler makes a big difference as well.

Yea I was gonna say... that blue car has LTs and LM. Loud as hell. Makes my duals with a cam sound tame hahaha... After my TDs, I will never willingly go to a y-pipe, but it's just a personal preference I guess. LM on a stock manifold car IMO sounds real good. My GMMG on my LT1 was boring as sin until I did LTs and Cats.
