i still cant see wut these kids see in the imports. not so much the old ones. but the fwd go no where fast . i help put a 12a rotorery in a 73 210 datsun fully built turbo and all . i giv respect to that. but the 03 corolla S's that think they can even try against my 85 T/A. thats wut i dont respect.

they've got 5 years on a car that came from the factory with 130..
i think it could be a close race

uhhhh dude its a high 15/low 16 sec car....theres alot on the road that'll take a 305 F-body, especially a carbed 305. Hell I got a 350 in my car and there ain't a whole lot I'm gonna just go out and run down.

when the main reason i own a f body is because it just looks so nice. the car can do alot for being 23 years old . i just cant deal with any fwd. just dont see the point of a sport compact

yawn, someone let me know when peoples minds open up.
first. the eclipse could be a gsx and be fast second the delsol could have any number of engine setups that are faster than your 305
btw, the eclipse may not be front wheel drive

ya i got a lot of respect for the imports. i helped username too with that datsun. car was sweet. but its the owners that i just cant somach not really the cars. 90% of honda owners are dicks. i got a few friends that are into hondas and are cool as hell. they give respect to the muscle cars and everything. its the others that are retards. a 305 3rd gen is a mid 15 second car at best true. but so is the average b16 swap in a honda. gsr swaps are low 15 to high 14 set ups with a good driver. but i think the point username is trying to make is these are the same people that will take their bolt on high 14 low 15 second wonder and try to start races against a c5 or a h/c fbody or a kenny bell cobra (ive seen that one happen and it was halarious). if someone with a 12 second DSM honda or watever the hell wantrs to pick a fight with a muscle car hey so be it. but like username is trying to say for someone to take a 14/15 second car and try to pick fights with cars that are two leagues above them ir retarded... what i love about the fbody's and the people that share the love is we just flat out love our cars. we got them because we wanted to not to just fit in with everyone like most import people do. its the cruises (like the one to hooters soon ) and the meets and stuff that makes the fbody and muscle car crowd in general different than the sport comapcts.
also, juan... you forget about jons eclipse. fwd, 400+hp high 11's all day. btw he said you're an ******* lol

i know you know what i mean matt, but i was refering to his percentage statement. I know on the mustang boards that many feel the same about f-body owners. and the import guys think of most domestic owners as rednecks....why do they think that? because the people they meet are uncurtious and closeminded, instead of commending people for sharing a common hobby, they talk down to people who dont share their exact views.
in a time where the government is cracking down on everything to do with the automobile, and the general public regards us ALL as streetracers even though its the minority that break the law, all car enthousiasts should be joining together to support the hobby they all love.
