September Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one picture of their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.

Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week (7 days) and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).

Lets get those submissions in!

- Justin

My name is Don Baker,

This is my 1990 Camaro RS. I bought this car new in Sept.of 1989 with a 3.1 litre V6 in it and it is a factory t-top car. I decided I wanted to give it a new look and wanted to Prostreet the car. The car was backhalved and tubbed in 96'. The car was completed in May of 2000.
An 8 point rollcage was installed, with a 350 cid bored .060" over small block that was dynoed at 425hp. The car was repainted in the original Bright Blue Metallic. All of the exterior body panels are original, except for the 3" Cervini cowl-hood. The transmission is a TH-400, and the rear is fitted with a Ford 9" with 411 gears and QA-1 coil overs. The engine compartment has been smoothed out and painted body color as is the cage. I have quite a bit of chrome and polished aluminum parts under the hood with an Edelbrock Pro-Flo fuel injection set up running a F.A.S.T computer. The interior has been all custom done in two-toned gray tweed and has a pretty nice sound system to. There is a lot more to list, but I will keep it short as this should give you an idea of whats been done with it. I have built this car to be driven to all show events in which I do alot of, and I never trailer it anywhere.

Matt Westerfield

This is my 2000 Pewter trans am M6. I bought it in july 2008. I have always wanted a LS1 F-body. The orginal owner added an SLP Lid to the car. Only thing i have done to the car is add a SLP strut tower brace bar. I have had alot of fun so far with this car. Im so happy with it. I have plans for the car, but to make that happen i have to save money. Eventually as time goes one there will be some changes to the car that will change it alot. For this month i was actually able to take a picture with a digital camera. Cell phone pics FTL. I hope this pic taken during a sunset will help it get some looks.

My name is James Newcomb, this is my 1988 Iroc-Z28. I've owned the car for 4 years in january and..lets just say i could of bought a brand new Camaro in March if I saved my money instead of doing this car =). It mostly stock, only has functional ram air hood, flowmaster muffler, high flow cat. and a set of hooker shorties w/matching y pipe. Custom upholstery on the front/back seats/door panels. TT2's wrapped in Sumitomo tires. 255 17's in the back and 235 17's up front. Dash/gauges/console are original as well as all the plastic inside. Second paint job this car has had in 11months. Only thing about my pics is that you can't see the metal flake applied. 4 coats of metal flake, 4 coats of House of Kolors new clear coat to really make her shine.

Car: 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
Owner: Douglas Hopkins
BIO: I bought this car over a year ago in June 2007 with 35,XXX miles on it. The car was not very well taken care of, carelessly lowered with Eibach sportline springs which brought it down WAY to low, almost undriveable) and I slowly but surely worked it up to its current condition as my own. Put stock springs back in, tinted the windows, acquired a front plate cover and had it painted, found two crack pipes in the middle of replacing the clutch, added Pacesetter coated headers, ORY, QTP electric cutout, some Mickey Thompson drag radials and some mroe small but necessary parts. Recently just added a baby cam at 232 234 dur, with .580" lift on a 113 LSA. After tuning the car put down 369 rwhp on a mustang dyno.

1991 FORMULA 350

My name is Ed Kozinski and this is my 1991 Formula 350. It is 1 of 1,198 made with the L98 Performance Package. Over the years I have added SLP mods, along with Edlebrock, MSD, Hotchkis, Hypertech, and BORLA add ons. There are some exterior mods such as GTA tail lamps, Ram Air hood scoop screen and the 1993 nose bird. The interior has some carbon fiber accents along with a custom "350" 3rd brake light. My vanity plate says SHOWCAR, but it also does some Bracket racing as well. Fully detailed undercarriage and custom tint round out this package

Bryan Norcross
2002 Camaro SS #5290

I bought this car at Tom Oates Chevrolet in Chester Springs, PA in November 2004 with 11,000 miles on it. The car is everything I was looking for. Onyx Black, SS, M6, power windows/locks/mirrors, low mileage, t-tops, black leather, and un-molested. Since purchasing the car I have added a set of 18" C5 Z06 wheels, SLP SFC's, SLP STB, SLP Lid, & TR Ported TB. This past winter I added UMI Suspension Components consisting of Torque Arm, TA relocation kit, Panhard Bar, and Lower Control Arms. Recently installed were QTP longtubes and the Bassani True Dual Exhaust System. Future plans include a Heads & Cam Setup, and also lowering the Car with Strano Springs and Koni Shocks. I've had a blast with this car, and hope to keep it for many years to come.
