In the new issue of Diesel Power, they have a few cool stories. First, is GM's new diesel for 2010, that is slated to make 435hp and 750tq!
Second, and this is nuts, is the announcement that Cummins is going to release a 14.9L engine for semis, and get this, its a steam powered hybrid! Yup, it runs on pump water

(with fuel as well) and it gets 10% better mileage than diesel only in the prototype alone. Engineers say that the numbers will get much bigger soon. As of now, the engine makes 565hp and 1850tq. Its a radical new design using both internal and external combustion.
