I'm amazed at the fact that people are willing to kill another person for a buck. If we lived in a 3rd world country and someone was stampeded over some aid/food, it would be more understandable to me. But the fact is that a person died over a DVD, most likely.

Whats your point?Imagine if someone broke into your house and raped and killed your mother; would the fact that it happens everyday matter to you?

I agree with Tsar.........and that scares me a little.

I really gained a dislike for the holidays a long time ago. My favorite things about this time of year have nothing to do with the stuff I get or give. It is about the friends that I normally don't get to see and the traditions we enjoy together.

They really need to do something about the stupidity of these Black Friday sales IMO, yesterday there were people out side of bestbuy camping out starting at 4pm when I rolled by...thats BEFORE I was having Thanksgiving dinner!

I mean seriously, I went to best buy a couple of years ago on Black friday at like 5:30am and there was a line wrapped around the store and it wasn't even open yet and I thought I was the crazy one getting there 30 minutes before the store opened. In most of those sales its only the first 100 or so people that get anything at a discounted price, the rest of the idiots get left over crap they probably didn't want.

A worker getting trampled to death is pretty serious stuff, maybe walmart will take a hint & maybe put their workers safety before these maniac's. Technically they could probably all be charged with murder if it came to it(the customers that is)

Just my .02

Social Networks:

i saw people camping out when i went to best buy on tuesday afternoon. they had been there since tuesday morning. i laughed at them

i went to kohls today to pick up sneakers forgetting about the black friday rush. i saw the line, walked out and went straight to amazon. i'm done with shopping in person for deals. if i wanna save money, it could be found online. and teh savings isn't worth the hassle IMO

I just saw this on the news. And to make it more insane, after the cops told everybody that the guy died, the crown of people started complaining that they were waiting on line and wanted to go in the store to shop. Merry Effing Christmas.

I just watched the news on the NY Wal-Mart employee killing (I think that term is correct - they freaking killed that poor bastard). They said as the police were giving CPR these freaking savages were still bumping & pushing and knocking into the cops.

That deal is everywhere. I was thinking about picking one up until I saw BEst Buy had a Magellan for $80 online and in store. I may still pick one up since I missed out on the Best Buy deal.

...the true meaning of Christmas is long gone. I tell everyone I don't even want anything, give me my extended family and a nice big meal and I'm one happy person. If I want a gift that bad I'll go buy it myself.

I think they should have locked down the store and made every single shopper that made it in go back past the poor guy and look at this body, then go see the family and each of them needs to explain to the family why they acted the way they did - what was so damn important to them they they acted like animals. And it needs to be videotaped & aired for everyone to see.
