				78 ta

My dad has a 78 t/a in indiana, hes had it for years. My parents have been divorced for a long time and he just told me i might get the ta I'm not sure if its a 301 or 400. But i am sure that it is a green metallic color, is that stock gm color at the time or did he paint it? Any info on what i might be getting involved with will be very helpfull thanks guess. Oyea this isn't takid its his friend

There were a few factory greens. So it is possible it is original. You would have to have the information from the cowl tag to know if it is the original color or not.
If you get the car I would suggest you make calling the Pontiac Historical Society your first step. For a small fee you can give them the vin number and they will send you all of the information about how the car rolled off the assembly line.

And get yourself signed up for the club. It is free and only takes a few minutes.

I was thinking about dropping a 402 or so ls2 with a th350, about a 36k stall, keeping the 8.5 10 bolt just gonna bead the axels, and run 393s or 410s. it will be mostly a strip car but i also wanna drive it to fbody meets and drive it around town every now and then. Just wondering what you guys thought about it and if anyone can give me any help or pointers it would be very helpfull. thanks alot guys |

Or are you putting a super high revver to get 36000 rpm? And free is always good, but you don't know what condition it is in so we most likely can't tell you anything else

lol ya i got lazy on the 3600 and that is what i'm most worried about is the condition of the body. I would like to tear it down, have it sandblasted, and then repainted, but that all goes with the condition its in. WildBillyT my friend with the 1980 ta has a built th350 with his zz383 and hes had no problems. And yes sorry to say Bonzo she will mostly be seeing the track, but fear not she will most certainly see the road also Im gonna get the vin and check with the historical socity
