So I set my house on fire tonight...
I invited a few friends over tonight to hang out on my patio with a fire pit and after an hour or two of trying to keep a flame going and getting the logs going I decided it was a good idea to pour some gasoline into the pit, a little buzzed and not thinking clearly, the fire quickly spread up to the small gas can, set my hand on fire, then I dropped it in a panic, and decided kicking it would be a good idea to save it from exploding at my feet... instead I set my garage on fire, part of my house, my right foot, my right hand, and my friends pant leg
Not my brightest idea ever... pics to come.
(No one was injured in the stupidity thank god!, much laughing ensued due to some experienced firefighting friends)
Go ahead and laugh at me because I laughed it off since it could have been 100x's worse and nothing major happened. The only casualty is I lost all the hair on my right hand and I have to repaint the one side of my garage.
After I cleaned up a majority of my mess I played Guitar Hero for the first time and actually liked it.

There goes the idea of you running a NJFBOA BBQ. Anything lost in the fire?

Wow def. could have been a lot worse but I'm sure it's funny after the fact. Knowing me, I would have kicked the can into the garage burning the whole thing to the ground. Rest assured I would have jumped into the Bird and drove it out before trying to put the fire out.

You probably would have been dying on the floor laughing after we put out the fire. We had to go into my garage we were laughing so hard and checking ourselves for burnt body parts & clothing.

Not necessarily a good thing to post on a public forum. Insurance companies don't tend to find humor in these events. That's the same reason they send people to autox and track events to record license plate numbers. Just a word of caution. Glad no one was hurt. Charcoal lighter is a good bit less volitile than gas.

Note to self: Never invite Ar0ck over to a bonfire without having the fire department nearby!

Its really not as bad as it sounds, I ran out of degreaser but it should come off with a power wash or just fresh paint if all else fails.
