				So I graduated college

I finished college on wed and started work monday. I have a associates in applied sciences and automotive technology. Now Im making............A WHOLE $11 AN HOUR!!!!! WHOOOOHOOOOO Thats rediculous, the guys at my shop that graduated the year before me started at $12 and the guy they recently hired who has no certs, or ford training is making $18 and hour. So heres where I stand currently, Im going to tell my boss thanks for the raise but to keep me your going to have to give me atleast $13 an hour or Ill quit right here and now. I can continue on at school and get a batchelors in autimotive buisness from penn college $$$$$. Or I can try to get a job with the elevator union that my frinends dad works for and aprentice for $20 an hour, or I could get a job in another shop for more money which I really dont want to do as I HATE HATE HATE being a mechanic, I HATE waking up for work in the morning.
On a better note Im the first one in my family to have a college degree
Oh yeah and by no means is our shop slow everyone is there working until 5pm or later.

keep working and goto school part time. Milk it for all its worth. Im going to start on my masters in business admin soon, concentrating in finance or banking. I have learned over the past few years that working the hard way sucks, and not going to college is indeed not as cool as it seems. But yeah keep going to school till you get a bachelors then keep going from there. Get a second degree in biz admin and get a job for a big dealership as some kind of service manager. Or whatever! just dont give up on school thats why i did and im paying the price now

I work for an elevator company and I've seen that elevator mechanics can make a real nice living and the work isn't nearly as bad as auto repair. You should get on the list at a union hall.

I was doing worse than that with an associates...thats why I'm back in school. You should just get the job and put in your 2 weeks. In this job market you should make sure you've got something lined up before you leave

No degree here but did manage to get a professional job making slightly more than $11/hr. In my opinion, experience owns credentials.

If only I knew how bad it would have gotten I would have taken another semester to put towards CPA requirements like squirrel.
