Because atleast we haven't been swept by our rivals all season so far.
Yeah there was no reason to fire Willie if you ask me. If they had a healthy roster they may not be leaving as many men on base lately. Either way I know we'll blow it in September again this year so it doesn't matter haha.

got us yankee fans there, losing 8 in a row to boston is the pits! damn yanks 
i liked willie as a manager. he was just the poor scapegoat for the collapse the mets suffered. subway series part2 this sept. would be nice but honestly i don't think either team will be in the series. the mets choke and the yanks suck. should be good games this weekend though.

Are you defending the Mets? If so your example isn't really that good. The Mets would need a 15 game lead with a week left in the season in order not to choke and blow it.
