Any advantage to installing it over XP? I absolutely refuse to use that junk Vista.

I have been running it since the RC1. It is very stable I play games for hours on it and absoutely have no issues. From what i can see they have made it less resource intensive but somehow managed to make it look better than vista and have less strain on the system. Sharing center has been renamed to homegroup I have yet to use it because of some difficulty running my hard wired desktop on this network. I refuse to purchase any other OS because I am waiting for this to finally go retail.

I've been running Windows 7 since RC1 also. I really like it, runs a lot better than Vista.

I downgraded from Vista to XP because I didn't like how many resources Vista stole
i am thinking of trying out Windows7 since I've heard a lot of great things about it.

Has anyone had any compatibility issues with drivers or older hardware?

You should dual boot XP/7. This way you can try out 7 and still have XP if your not happy with it.

			That's a good idea.
Will it take 2 partitions to dual boot or can Windows 7 install on the same partition as XP? (Will I need more than one physical drive?)

 | You need to create a new partition in order to hold the Windows 7 install. You do not need more than one physical drive.

If it's anything like XPs "Windows98" compatibility mode, it will probably suck. Everytime I ran something in the 98 compatiblity mode in XP it would crash...
