intake

would it be worth changing my bbk ssi intake to a ls6. cant really find any definitive research that shows one being superior to the other. only thing i can find bad about the bbk is the weight and heat sink. cant decide if its worth it

might be worth a try... if you dont get any improvements you can relist the ls6 for whatever you paid for it and not lose anything

Power difference is probably negligible. Usage would be the main reason. BBK has the EGR provision and cast aluminum is probably better for NOS. LS6 is lighter. If the LS6 had the EGR I would be grabbing one. LPE used to sell a fitting to glue to it and SLP puts that plumbing piece in but I don't like that setup as much.

from what i have found with major mods like heads and cam the bbk actually picks up a couple horsepower and couple ft lbs of torque. it seems if you have a ls1 intake its worth changing to either one of them. but if you already have a ls6 or bbk changing it would kinda be like ****ing in the wind. not a good decision

Weights not a big deal and I believe the heatsoak is overrated...bbk made a little more power then the ls6...theres a ton of info on these 2 intakes head to head on tech.
