USPS SUCKS!
Sitting in my house working on some homework and I hear something hit the sidding then the ground , go to check it out...oh a package that got thrown. I shout "nice throw" the the mailman who is just at the next house then wave him over and call him out on it. He said "Yeah I threw it they want us to be as fast as possbile, and it didnt say fragile and if it broke file a claim" ORLY? You walked up to the porch which has 2 chairs sitting at the edge aimed up and tossed the package to save time...you could have just put it on the chair, what if you missed and put it thru my glass storm door? He said "Ive been doing this for 16 years you should see the stuff that goes on in the ware houses"
1. Dosent matter what it is dont throw it, I paid for it not you, and I paid for you to deliver it.
2. Why would I want to file a claim? If stuff didnt get thrown and stepped on I wouldnt have to go thru the incredibly retarted claim process.
3. I dont car what happens in the warehouses as long as it make it to me ok, I dont see if getting thrown there I see you throwing it now sotp it
4. It takes you more time/effort to aim, wind up and throw than to set it on the chair which happens to be right in front of you.
/Rant

Thats funny because i've recently recieved packages from FedEx and UPS. I've had issues with UPS package handling but this time the guy actually took the time to hide the package on my porch. Moved a couple things and got it hidden. Same with fedex. I bought a tonneau cover and the guy slid it under a small table and chair so you couldn't see it from the road. I was very surprised. Sucks you had to see it happen like that...but you should really see what goes on in the warehouse...you'd want to 'go postal'

My point to him was I dont see what goes on in the warehouses so I really dont care as long as its not broken, I see you throwing it not them. UPS does the same I dont use them anymore because they always break stuff always! Guess its time to go fed-ex. What gets me is that fact that he had to walk up to the front of my car to get a clear shot at the porch...2 more steps and he would have been at one of the chairs and put it there.

So as long as you're not home he can throw it, that's your argument?

Yup, one postman acted slightly out of line so the entire USPS sucks
Happens with all of them. Ask Ron about his DHL'd transmission. I had a UPS truck DRIVE OVER a box of rocker arms and then deliver them. Tire tracks and all. Fedex has left crap in the rain when there was a porch with a roof 5 feet away.

i had an excellent experience when i picked up a package at the post office. he couldn't have been nicer and actually worked a little later to get my and several others pick-ups. every mailman/woman i deal with is also quite friendly and respectful.

Our mailman is awesome and very polite. Loves the Camaro and talks with me for a minute or two if I'm outside doing something.

IMO It comes down to the driver. I know my UPS man and I have helped him at his house with stuff and the USPS driver is a good guy when he is on our route he will put stuff in the door if it wont fit in the mailbox etc. The UPS guy will call me and let me know if he couldnt leave a package because he needed a sig and will let me meet him somewhere to get it, same with the FedEx Ground driver.

Those guys are in every company/organization. It is unavoidable. Luckily around me, the woman who delivers my mail is very friendly, but i have had a few bad experiences with UPS

I sell parts for other types of cars though other boards and occasionally on E-Bay. I've shipped over 1000 packages world wide through the USPS over the years. So far, only one package failed to reach its destination. It was lost by French customs and returned through USPS some three months later. I have nothing negative to say about the service provided by the USPS. Their capricious raising of their rates is another matter.
We've had the same UPS person for 25 years. He is terriffic. Won't let my wife carry nything large or heavy. Brings everything right to our door. Hides things out of plain sight if we're not home. He's definitely a great person and is underpaid.
Don't judge a whole system by the actions of one atypical person.

Never had a problem with USPS in fact I use them the most just venting because I was pissed, in the package was my show and go plate holder. It's the new postman that sucks the old one was good this new guy is awful. The ups guy also sucks I guess he's short or something because there's always shoe prints on my boxes and they're creased. Fed-Ex guy I know personally from my old job great guy never have a problem.

They all suck, USPS, UPS and Fedex. Everyone of them has delivered damaged packages to me. Its all the luck of the draw I suppose.
