1985 CAMARO IROC/ 5 original miles on eBay

I just got thru reading 8 pages (on TGO) about the bringing back to life a 1985 Camaro IROC that was put into a trailer with 4.3 miles on it and was not even prepped by the dealership. It still has the original plastic on the seats/ door panels/ steering wheel and floor areas. It is a very interesting story that documents the work involved in bringing it back to life and all the members that got involved. The car is now listed on eBay (#260574824313) as the new owner is testing the waters as to what this car might be worth. It failed to reach a reserve at the Krusse auction and now they are trying this approach. He paid $26,000 for the car, not counting the hours of work and parts needed to make it look new again.

Looks great but its missing the front ground fx. You can see the holes in the bottom of the front bumper where it should be attached.

Just like there is chalk writing on the rear window that is still left on because THAT'S the way it was found. It's dumb to some people and others say just buy another ground fx, put it on and leave the original one in the box. This guy is trying to find NOS wheels for the car (the ones on there are not the original) because the story goes that the original owner bought this car to make it into a BIG BLOCK race car and sold the original wheels and tires to help pay for the start of the project, but it never got off the ground and wound up in the trailer for 25 years. It had a set of black painted steel wheels with snow tires on the rear. LOL

Yeah I saw that video atleast 6 months ago and was wondering what would happen with the car. I'll be watching with great interest. I had a guy offer me 20k for mine 2 years ago...not bad for one with 115,000 miles on it haha.

So once you factor in inflation.....it can be said that Third Gens are appreciating in value?????.....I own a third gen and I still can't believe it....

Dude paid waaaay to much for it though 26k??? that's crack prices for a regular Iroc....1LE that's a different story....IMO I can't see him getting his money back unless he sits on it for a few years and then sends it to Barrett Jackson and markets it as a "Survivor"..
