Nascar track
Yesterday I got to do something I never thought possible. I got to drive on a nascar track Texas Motor Speedway and actually be doing over 100 mph. It was paced by a camaro and a few chevy pick up trucks to keep you in line lol. I was the last car behind all the camaros. It never went less then 70 and I was able to hit 115 a couple of times. I was actually with a camaro5 group and the only Firebird in the whole event. Here is some pictures and a video of it. Excuse my excitement if its sounds a bit corny but was having the time of my life. Ran out of memory so my codriver couldnt finish videoing the whole thing. Check the vid out!

Was amazing. I am sure you guys can hear my excitement lol. The car handled amazing!! I even felt some of the understeer on the banks. This track would definately be scary at 200 ++ for the nascar drivers.. Wish I had someone videoing me from the pits though. I would have loved to hear my ride from the outside. When I watched other cars from the pits. The loudest sounding cars were the Dodges, and the older Camaros. The new ones all sounded so quiet on the track

i used to love the banked roads of northern california so that track would be very sweet to ride on im also jealous of you, but not jealous enough to ruin your good times
although im pretty sure nascar speeds are more like 150-180 which are still kinda high but nowhere near as nutty as over 200

Nah, they don't average 200 around a 1.5 mile cookie cutter track like Texas, but they will get pretty damn close at the end of the straightaways. Well in to the 190+ mph range

It was a charity event and I only had to donate 30.00 and 10 for my picture on victory lane. I would have paid 100 easily lol. There doing another event on in Sept but wont be here for that lol. Found out about it on LS1Tech in the Texas members section.

lol i was talking about road courses and drag strips which are available to 90 percent of the general public i too agree it would be awesome to get to tear around a nascar track...i do know there are small circle tracks that have amateur/non professional races though
