Underside of door rusted to hell...
Like usual my doors were sagging so I fixed them. Then I notice, from them sagging for so long and me and previous owner constantly slamming the door to get it shut, the ground effects weren't really attached:

And I also notice some scratching on the door sill:

So I look underneath and what do I see?
Made a panorama of it...
My original plan to fix the GFX was to just re mount it... but since this came up, I can't decide to either replace whole door or attempt to fix it.
Does any one else have any suggestions?
see poll.
Thanks.

I already replaced the hinges. The damage is from before. It 'stretched' out the metal.

With that kind of rust on the door, I bet there are rust issues in other places. Do a full assessment of the frame and chassis and determine if its worth fixing before spending any money on it.

Actually, it's highly likely that there is little to no rust on the rest of the car (aside from what is pictured) if it was cared for halfway decent. If you read the first post, you'll know that this was caused by the door actually rubbing on the door sill due to sagging hinges. It'll obviously rust much faster when you scrape it down to bare metal.

I agree, time for a new door. It'll be cheaper than trying to fix the rust, that's for sure. The passenger front door on my Cherokee was rotted from the inside out, so I scored one at a junkyard in the same color as my truck. Bolted it on, and didn't even need to paint it!
