4th gen parts starting to get valuable?
As a few of you know, I got hit about a month back in my pewter SS camaro. Insurance paid for 100% of the repairs, but something really surprised me. Most people now a days are trashing their f bods. And sending them to the crusher, but what you don't realize is so many gm parts are starting to get valuable! For example, I got a passengers gm. Quarter panal ordered and guess how many were left out there that would budge on selling them? 3. . . . 3 and the others that were found were stock piled and they wouldn't. Budge selling them bc they said they are so valuable now, they will be worth a lot one day. After talking to the owner he explained how something like a gm door that someone will trash, they don't realize that will be big bucks one day. Even now actual factory parts for our cars are starting to be harder and hbarder to find. Moral of the story, next time you mod your car, or get pissed bc you blow your engine and want to junk the car, think of those parts that are actually quite valuable

theres enough six banger junk 4th gens laying around for me to rip parts off to keep expenses down...people that stockpile garbage cause it might be worth money someday usually just end up with a big pile of garbage

That sounds like a bunch of wishful thinking. 4th gen parts are readily available and will be for quite some time

There is a big difference in value of relatively clean factory parts that are on junk cars and factory parts still wrapped in plastic sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Don't think that you are going to make a goldmine selling clean used body panels off of your 4th gen....but don't expect to pay next to nothing for new GM body parts either.
