Exclamation anyone good with mac?

my macbook pro wont charge, its slower than hell and i keep getting that stupid rainbow pinwheel loading thing all the time. this is my first mac and honestly i think its a piece of crap!! is anyone good with these? maybe someone can fix it for me? or tell me what to do..its not like my compaq desktop where i was able to fix it myself. i have no idea. its frustrating. someone? please

chargers tend to burnup, but so do batteries
to diag first remove the battery and have it hooked see if it starts up.
if it does the battery is shot. if not the charger or both..
click on the harddrive icon and check your memory, go to your recycle icon and find the empty button so you can get all that free space back.
macs are solid usually have no problems my household is full of them.
just check your free space and makesure you dont have too many programs running at one time.
if not take it directly to apple to diagnose and ask for an opinion on what to do,
depending on how old it is.
