south dakota

my wife and i are driving back 2 NJ from her moms house in Salt Lake city. we decided to check out mt rushmore on the way home. I have to admit that the black hills of south dakota were amazing. mt rushmore was very cool and the crazy horse monument was really amazing. the best part was taking a ride through needles national park. man what a drive. wish we didnt have so much crap and extra weight in the G8 so we could have taking those switchbacks a little harder.. overall south dakota blew me away. get out there if you can for at least a week to see everything.

We passed the corn palace at like 3am. Was to focused on making it to Minnesota to stop. Crazy horse was very cool. My daughter got a pretty good size rock that was exploded off the mountain. You dontate some cash and you can take a rock from a big container. I carried it around the whole Indian Museum there without dropping it but once we stepped outside I dropped it while holding the door for a older lady. The stupid rock survived being blown up by dynomite but when I drop it 3 feet it freaking breaks.. Oh well. Now She has 2 rocks..

Get out and explore the country and world. My Dad is 70 and he went to FL for the 1st time last year. It was his 1st plane ride in over 30 yrs.

Another weird thing is that in SD the mid grade gas is less then the Regular gas. The gas attendant said its because of the ethenol in the mid grade is from SD so it is cheaper. Very strange.

Next time I want to check out the Bad Lands and Devils Tower in Wyoming. We drove up from Utah through Wyoming and probably passed right by it without even realizing it.
