Most terrifying roads in the world

And I've driven on 2 of them . The CT road is actually an awesome road, but being passed by an SUV on a curvy, hilly road at 75 is a bit unnverving at first!

the merritt parkway is a gorgeous road to just cruise on, they are right though at times it could get hairy with how people drive on it. route 1&9 ill have to agree with them i try to stay away from at all costs.

Why do people think 1&9 is so bad?... so what if it got the nickname suicide alley, lol. I take it quite often. Most of the time with a flatbed trailer during evening hours to avoid the outrageous tolls on the turnpike for 4 axle vehicles. I've driven it from the time I was 17 so I guess I've become accustomed.'

Merritt is just fun.And my ex was from queens, I didn't ever mind driving around there, you just have to be aware and pushy too. Other drivers can smell your fear.

And I'm surprised they don't list roads in Iraq or Afghanistan. Highway 1 in Afghanistan is no picnic at all. I guess this list is for where normal people may drive(yet the ice roads don't fit that too well).

1 & 611 are no bueno down where I'm at.

I've driven the Merrit Parkway dozens of times, I love it!

I guess ive driven on 3
queens blvd is a complete ****show. uncontrolled madness.
1 and 9 is.... well its 1 and 9 i dont think its much worse than rt.18 at rush hour.
but by far Russian roads are insane. Leave your morals, and manners at the door. Ive never scene a Highway go from pavement ....to dirt.... and then to mud in a matter of 10 min. And its like an everyday thing to them too. some of the best offroading can be had on "federal highways". needless to say i pretty much needed a change of clothes after driving a total of 10 hours on them
