This is little more north in Pearl river ny.
But miele auto parts has there own machinist who rebuilt mine and my buddies 6.0, his 383 and tons of other guys motors I know at car shows. Pricing is always fair. At least 25 yrs experience.

So that's just the labor right. You supplied the parts. That's not to bad. I was figuring around $1500 for the rebuild of my long block.

Mine was 1100 at bamman racing machine shop, but hes in central nj
Crank polished and beveled, new rod bolts resized, rings filed, decked to zero, honed the bores, honed the mains, installed cam bearings.

i have a complete motor. just did a leak down test and they were all 15-20% which isnt to shabby for a junk yard engine. i pulled one rod cap last night and it looked great. my budget is about $1500 for an over haul. do you guys think that is achievable. im looking to have the block hot tanked, checked for cracks or defects, and dressed for rebuild. all new bearings, rings and seals. whatever needs to be done to the crank. reuse the rods and possibly the pistons. have the heads cleaned and gone through. a total stock rebuild. no performance stuff like head porting. i this it is doable at $1500 reusing most major parts. keep in mind its going in my daily driver 04 sierra 2500hd

Mmm, it be cutting it really close. Not sure how much it is to get a block hot tanked and a crack test done

dbird, is Bamman still in business? I had my rear end done there many years ago and have a lot of engines to get done when I have the $$. I forgot about him! Was looking at either Windsor Machine or Bitner.

My dad, brother, and I have always used Haledon auto parts over the years, no complaints of their work
