sell, strip, or keep? That is the question.

I bought this mainly for the engine but now I'm not exactly sure what to do with it.
The car was a lot nicer than I had expected.

I also was unaware that only 901 formulas were made in 2002. 138 in red.
Does that have any real impact on value though?

It has 168k miles but runs nice so far.

I think I may end up keeping it...

there's most likely more profit in parting it, thats the thing.

Perhaps spend a day cleaning it up and post it for sale. If it doesn't leave for your asking price, strip and part it out.

As someone who sees no utility in the 4th gen formulas, chop it up...

The other 137 owners might thank you.

If you keep or sell it whole, I have a red front plate cover. Unless you have one already

Let me know how much you want for it.

I think I will end up keeping the car but rebuilding another motor for it over time since I'll probably rebuild that one to put in my GTA

The fact that its an 02 makes it probably the most desirable year for a late model 4th gen. I think theres money to be made there. take the LS1 out, slap in a 5.3 truck motor from the yard and sell it on LS1tech for a few g's

I think I'll pull the '02 motor, use it to build a motor for the GTA. I'll also take a few other parts I'd need. I'll make the roller all nice and ready for a new engine. Then I'll take the ls1 from my 98 z28, rebuild that, eventually, and put it back in the formula and get that back on the road.

I really just bought the formy for the ls1 block, ls6 intake manifold, and pcm. lol

Miles are too high to be of real value in my opinion

I wonder if someone would pay 6k for it once its all detailed and all the little things addressed. If so, Then I think I'd sell it whole.
Otherwise I'll keep it, or strip it.

Clean it up and list it for a decent price. If it sells, great - more time with the kid. If it doesn't sell after X weeks/months, begin parting.

I ran the numbers on parts vs. whole and its clearly worth much more in parts and not by hundreds but by thousands. So I think I will be parting it after all.

Ill be keeping most engine parts for my GTA build, and I'll still make double the profit parting it than I would make selling it whole.

I wouldn't pay 6k for a car with 168k miles. Not like its a diesel pickup. If you can sell that for 6k I should be able to get 10k for my SS lol

I say post it for sale. Give it a time frame. If it doesn't sell chop her up
