my new car....:(
*sigh*....despite my best-laid plans, i won't be getting an f-body as my next car. my mom is being a total bitch and is forcing me to drive my grandmother's '88 Lincoln Town Car
the only good thing about this car is that it will be free. bad things about the car:
1. grandma image
2. slow
3. slow
4. slow
5. no cd player
6. slow
7. doesn't run very well
8. slow
if it was up to my mom, i would be walking everywhere. me having a car is only a convenience to her, because then she doesn't have to drive me to school/work.
i will still be active on these boards despite my lack of an f-body, though. and i will be plotting to get one back, someday (hint: maybe this summer...)

I know that it's sometimes easier said than done, but why don't you just get your own insurance?
Go find a 3rd gen at a good price, get a quote from NJCure (as long as you've had your license for 3+ years), and get basic coverage.

i don't know if i'll even have enough money to buy a car, period, once the camaro's sold. i took out a loan to pay for it, so i have to put whatever i get for it towards the rest of the loan.

You personally took out a loan? So the car is in your name? And you're letting your mom sell it?

Oh man... sorry to hear that you gotta get rid of the Camaro. Maybe this pic will cheer you up.

It's an '87 Lincoln Town Car I saw on CarDomain... I wanted to find out what style Town Car you were getting. Now if it was only torque that was making that Town Car wheelie.... haha.

Dont even worry about makin it fast, just add alot of furry interior stuff, big subs and a nice head unit, then drive around wearin a pimp hat and glasses blastin loud obnoxious music, i'm sure your parents will consider gettin you a different car after that ...or you can keep it and pimp, fixing any lady problems you are having

it's definitely a pimp-type car...and i DO have a pimp hat...hmmm
i'm thinking about using it as a limo. i could take people to the airport and stuff for extra cash towards a new f-body.
I'm also going to make my parents pay for forcing me to get this thing. They are gonna have to pay for every repair on that car before i get it. I want it in showroom condition before I drive it.
heh i'm also considering dropping in a Ford 351W just to piss them off. one thing's for sure, that would get my limo passengers to their destinations quickly

actually the Linc has the the non-ho 5.0, the one that came in the t-birds and such, it has diff H/C/I, but aftermarket works all the same, the things im not sure on are diff internals (non forged) and im pretty certain it has a different firing order

i was thinkin about doin this over the summer with a few friends. cause the actual stretch limo versions of that body style are sellin for dirt cheap, like $600 in good condition. but in the end people just wanted to soup it up, paint it some crazy color with flames and pick up chicks. 8) geting a limo lisence/insurance was gonna be a bit of a pain from what i remember

getting a limo license is next to impossible. you have to prove to the state that another limo is needed... rotsa ruck.
on the other hand, i understand the f40 upper/lower intake fits that motor, plus a set of equal length headers, CAI, heads, injectors and a blower would put that yacht into the 12s...
