Is that sky on the same platform as the solstice? I liked the solstice but that looks sweet. Any idea on MSRP? I'd figure low to mid 20's to compete with the miata.

Yes, the Sky is on Kappa. No price yet, but could be about the same if maybe a little bit more then the Solstice. Solstice will be a bare-bones fun to drive roadster. The Sky could possibly be more upmarket.

didn't gm jsut get done killing off olds because of overlapping marketing? now they are raising the scale of saturn to fit into that hole in the market.
the sky is a cool looking car, but why another overlapping marketing scheme on a sporty car?
pontiac has always been the sporty and slightly upscaled version of cars, why the need to drag another brand name into the mix?
later

wow, all but the sky are ugly, suprise suprise... not.
That HHR looks like a bigger PT loser.
Is it must me or do the Saturns look a lot better than the other brands?

the two saturns look good. the sky reminds me of the Dodge Razor concept from a few years back, kinda smll and stocky. it's more angular than the solstice. the HHR looks like a PT cruiser ripoff. the Impala, Monte Carlo and G6? YAWN. wake me up when the Impala and Monte Carlo go back to rear-drive V-8s.

WTF? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that before.
The saturns do look pretty good, and I love how they have turned the monte and the inpala into the same car again. Thats the same reason the mid 90's monte never took off - it was nothing but a 2 door lumina with different wheels. Of well, should have figured that was going to happen.

Actualy, if you look at the Monte, the only thing is that they changed the front end to match the Impala. The Impala got ALL new sheetmetal as well as an all new interior. Monte got touched up, but the body pannels and everything have stayed the same.
For thoes who did not click on the links, the Monte and Impy SS models will get a 303 hp 5.3 LS4 DoD V8, and also GM's new 3.9 240 OHV VVT V6, and base 3.5 210 OHV V6.
The Sky will get the same 2.4 DOHC VVT 170hp Ecotec from the Solstice
Aura concept has a 250hp 3.6 DOHC VVT V6 with 6spd auto
Torrent will get the lump 3.4 OHV 185hp V6
HHR will get the 2.2 or 2.4 DOHC Ecotec, and will come in optional 5spd manual.
G6 coupe and vert only come in V6. Either the 3.5 OHV 200hp V6, or the 3.9 OHV VVT 240hp V6 with 6spd optional on the GTP models. Sedan gets base 2.4 DOHC VVT Ecotec 170hp 4cyl.
Also look for the STS-V making 440hp from a supercharged 4.4 Northstar with 6spd auto, and priced below the E55 and M5. Special interior and exterior trim etc will be seen as well as "Supercharged" badge on the side of the doors. Stainless grill will make its way like on the CTS-V, and of course...who could forget....a cowl hood!!
