Personally, I prefer the looks of the orange concept car over this one.

I went to the Indianapolis Auto Show this past week and had the opportunity to sit inside a 2004 GTO. While the power and stats are impressive, I felt like I was inside a large luxury sedan, not a sports / performance vehicle. Nice and roomy inside, not that intimate, wrap-around-your-body feel of most sports cars.

i noticed those pics on pontiac.com a few days ago. that kit is only available as a dealer installed option though, and I suspect it will be pricey considering the 18" wheel/tire package alone is something like $2500. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that kit added $5000 or $6000 to a gto's sticker. no thanks.
If the grille pieces are available separately, I might consider picking them up. I think that looks a ton better than the stock ones on my 04.

looks like pontiac is making a move to be gm's body cladding division again.
too bad this is the answer they came up with for weak sales instead of telling dealerships to stop marking teh cars up 3-7K above sticker price.
the LS2 and dual outlet exhaust are nice, the rest of the styling changes i would have left on the drafting table.
later

I like it. To me it's better than an f-body. It has so much in common with the f-body yet so different. Looking at the best parts of an f-body and you'll find all but the price tag in a GTO! Rear wheel drive, v8, 6-speed, 2 doors, 4 seats and cargo space, good milage, fast, fits tall and big people unlike the crap Ford offers.

The body kit is to please all the closet ricers that need 400lbs of plastic crap tacked on. Personaly, Id go with the recessed grill, 18 inch rims, and call it a day.
And the GTO is much bigger inside then the 4th gen's, yet much shorter on the outside. I loved the GTO's interior, it offers a lot of room for a mid sized car. And to think that there are back seats you can ACTUALY sit in!

actually, it looks pretty good. the "GTO" in the rear bumper looks out of place. they need to do a little re-working of the hood scoops too. perhaps move them closer to the grille.
