If it needs intake manifold gaskets, it's mostly likely a 3.4L car.

You could prolly get by without some of that stuff. Mostly depends on how long you are planning on keeping the car.

Then the only thing I would be wary of is the tranny flush. Make sure the fluid isn't already looking crappy, because flushing it then could cause problems.

Well, the trans flush would probably be the most difficult part to do in your driveway. All depends on your mechanical ability. You don't have to already know how to do everything, but if you are handy, you should be able to do all that stuff with some basic tools, a few jackstands, and a little help.

autos have a convertor which is full of fluid and you need a machince to flush it out, or remove it and drain it.

Not always. Sometimes changing fluid that already looks that bad will kill a transmission faster. That's why it's important to change tranny fluid regularly before it looks that way.

big difference if you either buy the parts or do all the work yourself. My Pilot needed a complete brake overhaul - pads and rotors. The price was $800.00 for for the job.

I bought the rotors and pads at my cost and with labor it was 350.00 for everything. He would not warranty it though. Big whoop BTW he was POed I bought the parts.

rear rotors for the Pilot were 200 each retail, I got them for 130 each. I said the same thing when they gave me the price.

all together the cost of parts they said were in need of replacement i found for under 300 total

i have one more question though
i found the intake manifold gaskets on NAPA
and it says i need a valve cover set...

would that be this or this
or am i completely missing it?
