i'll post in here even though i am from the south now... and i beat a Z06 off the line. hahahaha
fyi guyz,... i just got my car back and it dynoed 532whp..508wtq @ 20psi / 645whp..607wtq @ 26psi.. i realize that i dont stand a chance in hell of breaking the 10's with my stock rear but the basement crew can appreciate it!

i have the mk3 5spd out of a 91 supra, should hold up to 600whp, what can you suggest to help me with traction? more so the rigidity of the car, it feels like a loose whore with a shop vac. the control arms were replaced, bitch braces were replaced, coilovers installed, & racelogic traction control installed. should i just drive around on radials? and pray it doesnt rain? lol

you are well aware of the fact that i have no traction... the GS400 TB, makes for difficult control of the throttle, and the clutch is too feathery now... feels like a honda. other than that, bring depends.

I don't know much of anything about solidifying the frame of a Lexus, but if they sell any sort of subframe connector you should go with that. What shocks did you get with the coilovers? Are they adjustable?
You could always grab a set of drag radials to toss on your stock rims and use them when you want to go out and play.

for straight line traction the bigest thing is weight transfer. alowing the front of the car to come up and sit that weight to plant the rear tires is what it wants. the trade off is a loss of handling, which i loved in that car.
the band aid solution would be to see hwo smal a diameter rim you can get to clear your rear brakes and through some drag radials it isn't a perfect solution, but it would be a huge improvement.

i have a set of greddy adjustable coilovers... and i can adjust the rear to sight slightly lower than the front to put most of the weight in the rear. i think drag radials are going to be a must for any races from a dig.... subframe connectors, enlighten me?

a stiffer chassis from using subframe connectors would help a bit. it will prevent the toruqe from twisting the car as much and help to keep the weight on teh rear tires more even
with an independant rear suspension i wouldn't go messing with ride heights too much jsut for a trip to the track. as you lower the rear it will put negative camber(leaning the tops of the tires in) and take away from the contact patch of the tire on the pavement.
if you have adjustable shocks you can set the rears to compress easier and set the fronts to rise easier to help the weight get onto the tires.

another fairly inexpensive helper woudl be to relocate the battery to the trunk. weight off of the front makes it easier for the front end to rise and help you plant the tires, having unavoidable weight over teh drive tires is also helpful, and it will help to balance out the front to rear weight of the car a bit and help the handling too

As Tim was mentioning....when I said adjustable, I meant the shocks, not ride height.
Here's a link to subframe connectors for a camaro, so you have an idea of what they do. Not sure if they offer something like this for your car or not though....

The only thing I see there for the IS 300 is a brace to tie the mounting points of the front a-arms together to stop deflection under cornering.....unless I'm just blind and missing something.

yea, the general consensus on both the is300 boards and here is to use the subframe chassis braces to stiffen up both the front and the rear. i kno of the "toms" chassis braces, but they seem to greatly decrease the ground clearance on lowered vehicles... i was thinking of constructing my own, lil "g" can help me with the welding... hahahaha....
